HOW LONG WILL THIS TAKE?
How long the process takes varies depending on our schedules, project size, and how quickly you make decisions. The average living room takes roughly 15-20 hours if you are starting with a blank space, and of course the larger the project, the longer it takes.
HOW DO YOUR DESIGN FEES WORK?
I charge hourly, with the exception of my a la carte services. My consultations start with a 2-hr minimum and after that, are on an hourly basis for as little or as long as you need me.
DO CLIENTS GET A DESIGNER DISCOUNT?
This is a great benefit of working with a designer and the answer is yes! I have accounts with many vendors and if I am given a discount, I will pass it along to you.
CAN YOU INCORPORATE MY EXISTING FURNITURE?
I am happy to incorporate a few of your existing pieces into the new design. Just keep in mind that to achieve a cohesive final look, some existing furniture may not fit the new design direction. In this case, I will make a recommendation that we remove the current furniture, or we pivot. If you have a piece that is a family heirloom or incredibly special to you, I will absolutely keep it in the design.
CAN I BE INVOLVED IN THE SELECTION PROCESS?
Absolutely! I've had several clients that have spent the day shopping with me. Keep in mind that shopping together usually extends the time it takes to finalize selections. It’s a completely normal part of the process, and it’s just something helpful to factor into your budget.
DO YOU OFFER REMOTE CONSULTATIONS?
Yes! Several of my projects have been done remotely, and I typically only recommend this if you live outside the local area. Remote design requires a bit more collaboration, as you will need to take the lead on measuring your space and providing site photos.
